This stunning lakefront property is accessible and enjoyable year-round, making it an ideal vacation rental.  Whether you come for a week-long stay or a short weekend getaway, you will never run out of things to do and discover. From warm and bright summer days through fall foliage and splashes of colour, to snowy winter fun like snowshoeing, skating, skiing, snowboarding & snowmobiling, there is something special to experience in every season.

The custom built and recently updated 5 BDR 3,600 Sq/f Muskoka cottage has the perfect blend of serenity & entertainment

The main house is positioned atop a gentle slope overlooking the tranquil surrounding bay of Lake Vernon, ideal for swimming, kayaking or boating.  The grand stone staircase leading to the front door, is the first of several luxury landscaping features masterfully crafted using the finest locally sourced stone, offering that sought-after classic Muskoka atmosphere.

Layout

The entire vacation rental has a chic yet cozy décor, with high-end furnishing and unique finishing touches in every room. The elegant front hallway leads to the light-filled Great Room featuring soaring cathedral ceilings, wood beams, a grand chandelier, extra-large stone fireplace and floor to ceiling windows with panoramic views of the beautiful Lake Vernon. 

Kitchen & Dining

The Great Room flows into the open concept kitchen & dining area. The large fully equipped chef’s kitchen has an oversized island that sits 3 and is perfect for cooking delicious meals for large groups to enjoy.

The extra-large harvest dining table comfortably seats 8-10 and is placed near the walkout to the back deck, surrounded by a glass railing, offering an unobstructed lake view.  The deck is equipped with a BBQ and luxury patio furniture.  It is a wonderful spot to relax with a morning coffee or that post dinner drink.

Screened-in Muskoka Room

On the other end of the Great Room is a beautiful screened-in Muskoka Room with plush outdoor furniture perfect for lounging on a warm summer evening or a crisp fall afternoon. 

Bedrooms

The Muskoka cottage has a total of 5 bedrooms.  4 bedrooms are located on the same floor, making it ideal for families with kids.  The 5th bedroom, is located off the side of the Great Room and offers more great lake views.  Hotel grade luxury bed linens are provided.

Bathrooms

The rental has two bathrooms located on the upper floor, each has a spacious shower with a rain shower head.  The third bathroom has a soaker tub and shower and is located on the lower floor. 

Games Lounge

The lower level has a games Lounge/Rec Room that feels like an upscale private bar, equipped with custom art, one of a kind arcade game, luxury pool table, foosball, dartboard and more.  Enjoy a game of pool while sipping on your favorite cocktail. 

The walkout lower level has an additional comfortable sitting area with a TV, beautiful lakefront views and a ping pong table to keep everyone entertained. 

Outside the Door

The jewel of this vacation rental is the custom designed & built expansive waterfront stone terrace with a spectacular view of the lake.  On one side are lounge chairs, a hammock for basking in the sun and an oversized hot tub overlooking Lake Vernon that feels like a spa.  In the middle, is a built-in fire pit surrounded by Muskoka chairs perfect for large groups to enjoy an evening bonfire & smores under the stars.

Stone steps walkway winds its way through the property connecting the terrace to the Bunkie and the private dock.  Make your way down a set of stone steps to the cozy, fully heated, cedar Bunkie with two sets of bunk beds and its own screened-in porch.  It feels like a glamorous tree house in the middle of the forest!

Waterfront

The property boasts 100 feet of shoreline.  The large private dock is perfect for swimming and boat docking.  Shallow swimming is available from the side of the dock and deep water swimming is accessible from the end of the dock.   The large cedar rack holds a canoe, 2 kayaks and a SUP board for exploring the lake.  The high-end outdoor arm chairs provide a perfect spot to enjoy the sunshine or view the stunning sunsets.

Location

The vacation rental is about a two-and-a-half-hour drive from downtown Toronto. 

The Muskoka cottage is also a convenient short 15 min drive from Huntsville and is easily accessible via local roads in all seasons. 

The executive rental offers access to miles of boating on the 4 Lake chain (Lake Vernon, Fairy Lake, Peninsula Lake & Mary Lake) and is a gorgeous boat ride away from downtown Huntsville, which provides easy access to all the best shopping and dining the city has to offer!

Arrowhead Provincial Park, Algonquin Provincial Park and the Hidden Valley Ski Resort are all easily accessible from the rental.

Guest Access

To make your arrival to the Muskoka cottage easy, we provide a unique guest entry keypad lock code so that you can arrive at the vacation rental according to your schedule, any time after 5:00 pm on check-in day.

***Winter bookings: Ontario winters can be harsh.  Please note that the driveway & front steps of the Muskoka cottage are plowed. All roads from the highway to the lakefront driveway are regularly plowed by the Huntsville municipality or local snow removal services and the Muskoka cottage is only 5-10 min off the main road – a key consideration when booking your winter cottage stay. Even though the stairs that lead down to the Muskoka cottage as well as some of the wooden decks are regularly maintained, please be careful as they may be slippery. In fact, be careful anywhere on the property as the constant freeze/thaw cycles can hide ice under snow.

Cottage Rules

  • Guest limit: up to 10 guests.
  • Unregistered guests are not allowed on the property if not pre-approved by owner.
  • Guests will receive access code and information package via email before arrival.
  • Check-in: any time after 5:00 p.m. Early arrivals cannot be accommodated at this time.
  • Checkout: no later than 10:00 a.m. Late departures cannot be accommodated at this time.
  • Strict no smoking policy.
  • Strict no pets policy, unless approved by owner.
  • No parties or events.
  • Noise levels must be kept to a minimum after 10:00 p.m.
  • Please be advised that there are noise decibel meters installed outside and inside the property.
  • In the event that guests cause disturbance to the neighbours through improper conduct, the guests will be asked to vacate the property immediately.
  • In the event that guests are found to have had a party which results in extra cleaning, guests will be liable for extra cleaning charges, and if a disruption is caused to the neighbours, guests will be asked to vacate the property immediately.
  • Please do not wear shoes inside the house.
  • Please make sure to wash your dishes before check-out.  Otherwise, extra cleaning fees may be charged to guests.
  • Be considerate to our vacation rental and surrounding property. Please keep it clean and tidy during your stay and upon your departure.

It rained almost the whole week while we were at Yana’s. However we still had a great time. There were 8 of us. The place is very spacious and has two recreational levels. We played snooker, ping pong; used SUP, kayak, and jacuzzi. The pillows in the smaller bedrooms were very thin. You may need to bring your own. Also Kleenex are not provided. If you don’t plan to leave the cottage during your stay, bring some. Other than that, we enjoyed the cottage very much.

This cottage was absolutely amazing!!! It’s as exactly as stated in the description. Pictures don’t do it justice! There is something in every inch to enjoy in any given weather. The lake is very clean and the dock area was very nice to sit and relax or enjoy the water toys. The fire pit area is lovely even though there was a fire ban. The hot tub is huge and kept clean. The cottage is decorated very tastefully and was extremely comfortable and spacious. The kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans etc. We loved our stay and will return one day! Yana is an amazing hostess and very accommodating.

Our stay at the cottage went fantastic. The location was super easy to get to, checkin was a breeze, and the games room and hot tub were great to have on the chillier days that we were there. This was one of the few times I've stayed somewhere and I felt that the photos didn't do it justice. The cottage is spacious, the furniture is comfortable, and the amenities were perfect.

This cottage is absolutely gorgeous and our stay was perfect. Close to snowmobiling and tobogganing, as well as a quick drive into town. Our group of 9 loved the outdoor fire pit, the hot tub and the games room. The cottage was very clean, stylish and even better than the pictures. This Lake Vernon rental property is a dream Muskoka getaway.
The multi-level cottage is spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. The main floor provides a fantastic zone for cooking, eating and watching tv. The extensive games room was an excellent space for us to utilize in the evenings and on rainy days.
Outdoors the views are absolutely stunning, there are multiple seating areas where it is quiet and peaceful. The hot tub is the perfect way to lean into vacation mode and relax to the fullest.
The owner, Yana, is a delight to communicate and work with. She is quick to respond to all inquiries, accommodating and makes the rental process easy from beginning to end.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time on the property both inside the cottage and outside by the firepit or down on the dock. The lake is quiet and still, the water is clean and crisp. There are neighbours close by but the property feels very private. We fully intend to return in the future to make use of this cottage country utopia.

We couldn't have asked for a better week at a cottage! From the first moments we arrived we had everything we needed and it was beyond our expectations! The pictures do not do it justice, you have to see it to believe it. There were plenty of indoor and outdoor activities, a large open kitchen with everything we could need stocked in it. There were plenty of places to relax and make memories. We used this space as a remote working space and it worked perfectly! 10/10 we would rent this again!

Magnificent property! A beautiful cottage with a split level layout made it convenient to go from one space to another. The spacious kitchen allowed several of us to cook and prep at the same time. The bedrooms were clean and cozy. Contemporary shower systems in all bathrooms. The dock has spectacular views of Lake Vernon. This luxurious cottage has all the amenities you would expect - this kept us fully entertained both indoors and outdoors. The location is near Huntsville so it was a short drive to Walmart to pickup a few items we forgot to pack. It should be noted though, that there were quite a number of steps leading from the driveway down to the cottage and some steep steps going down to the dock. This really wasn't an issue for our group but something to consider if we want to bring older adults and young children next time. The owner was very pleasant to deal with and answered all our questions promptly. We had an amazing time and would highly recommend.

This multi-level cottage is beautiful, and was extremely clean and well organized. The bedrooms were great, and everyone slept well. We were seven adults and there was room to spare, and a nice bunkie (also with gorgeous views of the lake). The kitchen was very well equipped, and a dream to cook in. The outside bbq is also in great condition and having an extra propane tank, is a nice touch. Everything about this cottage is top notch, and shows a lot of care. The game room was fun on our one rainy day, and in the evenings!

The views from all the decks, the dock, and the fire pit are stunning. The lake was great for swimming, and the water toys just added to our general enjoyment. The owners were extremely responsive to any questions, and answered quickly. I agree with the above reviewer that the pictures don't do it justice. We will definitely be back.

This beautiful cottage is tastefully decorated, very spacious and well stocked with amenities. The kitchen was easy to cook in and the dining room fits many people around the dining room table. The beds were comfortable and had high quality linens. There was a very fun games room(s) in the lower levels with a pool table, ping pong, foozeball and video games and more seating. The hot tub was large and had great views of the property and lake.
The fun continued down to the dock with plenty of seating and water activities.
Everything was very clean and well maintained.
