The main house is positioned atop a gentle slope overlooking the tranquil surrounding bay of Lake Vernon, ideal for swimming, kayaking or boating. The grand stone staircase leading to the front door, is the first of several luxury landscaping features masterfully crafted using the finest locally sourced stone, offering that sought-after classic Muskoka atmosphere.

MUSKOKA COTTAGE

The entire vacation rental has a chic yet cozy décor, with high-end furnishing and unique finishing touches in every room. The elegant front hallway leads to the light-filled Great Room featuring soaring cathedral ceilings, wood beams, a grand chandelier, extra-large stone fireplace and floor to ceiling windows with panoramic views of the beautiful Lake Vernon.

Kitchen & Dining

The Great Room flows into the open concept kitchen & dining area. The large fully equipped chef’s kitchen has an oversized island that sits 3 and is perfect for cooking delicious meals for large groups to enjoy.

The extra-large harvest dining table comfortably seats 8-10 and is placed near the walkout to the back deck, surrounded by a glass railing, offering an unobstructed lake view. The deck is equipped with a BBQ and luxury patio furniture. It is a wonderful spot to relax with a morning coffee or that post dinner drink.

Screened-in Muskoka Room

On the other end of the Great Room is a beautiful screened-in Muskoka Room with plush outdoor furniture perfect for lounging on a warm summer evening or a crisp fall afternoon.

Bedrooms

The Muskoka cottage has a total of 5 bedrooms. 4 bedrooms are located on the same floor, making it ideal for families with kids. The 5th bedroom, is located off the side of the Great Room and offers more great lake views. Hotel grade luxury bed linens are provided.

Bathrooms

The rental has two bathrooms located on the upper floor, each has a spacious shower with a rain shower head. The third bathroom has a soaker tub and shower and is located on the lower floor.

Games Lounge

The lower level has a games Lounge/Rec Room that feels like an upscale private bar, equipped with custom art, one of a kind arcade game, luxury pool table, foosball, dartboard and more. Enjoy a game of pool while sipping on your favorite cocktail.

The walkout lower level has an additional comfortable sitting area with a TV, beautiful lakefront views and a ping pong table to keep everyone entertained.

Outside the Door

The jewel of this vacation rental is the custom designed & built expansive waterfront stone terrace with a spectacular view of the lake. On one side are lounge chairs, a hammock for basking in the sun and an oversized hot tub overlooking Lake Vernon that feels like a spa. In the middle, is a built-in fire pit surrounded by Muskoka chairs perfect for large groups to enjoy an evening bonfire & smores under the stars.

Stone steps walkway winds its way through the property connecting the terrace to the Bunkie and the private dock. Make your way down a set of stone steps to the cozy, fully heated, cedar Bunkie with two sets of bunk beds and its own screened-in porch. It feels like a glamorous tree house in the middle of the forest!

Waterfront

The property boasts 100 feet of shoreline. The large private dock is perfect for swimming and boat docking. Shallow swimming is available from the side of the dock and deep water swimming is accessible from the end of the dock. The large cedar rack holds a canoe, 2 kayaks and a SUP board for exploring the lake. The high-end outdoor arm chairs provide a perfect spot to enjoy the sunshine or view the stunning sunsets.

LOCATED IN HUNTSVILLE, MUSKOKA, ONTARIO

The vacation rental is about a two-and-a-half-hour drive from downtown Toronto.

The Muskoka cottage is also a convenient short 15 min drive from Huntsville and is easily accessible via local roads in all seasons.

The executive rental offers access to miles of boating on the 4 Lake chain (Lake Vernon, Fairy Lake, Peninsula Lake & Mary Lake) and is a gorgeous boat ride away from downtown Huntsville, which provides easy access to all the best shopping and dining the city has to offer!

Arrowhead Provincial Park, Algonquin Provincial Park and the Hidden Valley Ski Resort are all easily accessible from the rental.

GUEST ACCESS

To make your arrival to the Muskoka cottage easy, we provide a unique guest entry keypad lock code so that you can arrive at the vacation rental according to your schedule, any time after 5:00 pm on check-in day.

***Winter bookings: Ontario winters can be harsh. Please note that the driveway & front steps of the Muskoka cottage are plowed. All roads from the highway to the lakefront driveway are regularly plowed by the Huntsville municipality or local snow removal services and the Muskoka cottage is only 5-10 min off the main road – a key consideration when booking your winter cottage stay. Even though the stairs that lead down to the Muskoka cottage as well as some of the wooden decks are regularly maintained, please be careful as they may be slippery. In fact, be careful anywhere on the property as the constant freeze/thaw cycles can hide ice under snow.

HOUSE RULES

Guest limit: up to 10 guests.
Unregistered guests are not allowed on the property if not pre-approved by owner.
Guests will receive access code and information package via email before arrival.
Check-in: any time after 5:00 p.m. Early arrivals cannot be accommodated at this time.
Checkout: no later than 10:00 a.m. Late departures cannot be accommodated at this time.
Strict no smoking policy.
Strict no pets policy, unless approved by owner.
No parties or events.
Noise levels must be kept to a minimum after 10:00 p.m.
Please be advised that there are noise decibel meters installed outside and inside the property.
In the event that guests cause disturbance to the neighbours through improper conduct, the guests will be asked to vacate the property immediately.
In the event that guests are found to have had a party which results in extra cleaning, guests will be liable for extra cleaning charges, and if a disruption is caused to the neighbours, guests will be asked to vacate the property immediately.
Please do not wear shoes inside the house.
Please make sure to wash your dishes before check-out. Otherwise, extra cleaning fees may be charged to guests.
Be considerate to our vacation rental and surrounding property. Please keep it clean and tidy during your stay and upon your departure.
